Liverpool Ebola “Cure” Ripe for EU Support, 12th November 2014.

Pioneering research at Liverpool University to tackle Ebola should get European funding.

Researchers say an existing drug used for treating heart disease could lead to a cure being developed for the deadly bug.

More than 2,000 people have so far died from it this year in West Africa.

The European Parliament has this week been debating ways the EU can help the battle against Ebola.

The European Union has already committed millions of pounds in aid for Africa.

I believe that scientists here should also be supported in their work to combat the virus.
